hot bread

A wise women once said, “if a restaurant serves you cold bread, NEVER go back.”

I agree, totally. So, my love is hot bread. Cold bread is just not the same. I don’t care if they serve butter or olive oil as long as the bread is warm.

Another idea: if you’re going to serve something with butter, it better be hot enough to melt it.

The heat that warms your fingers as you pull the bread apart. The softness hidden by the delicious hard crust.  The joy of expectation that your mouth feels as your fingers slowly dip the bread into (a. olive oil, b. butter, c. sauce, or d. all of the above).  The warmth, the combination of the crunch of the crust, the melting of the (a. olive oil, b. butter, c. sauce, or d. all of the above) and the softness of the (a. olive oil, b. butter, c. sauce, or d. all of the above) with the bread.  Oh yeah, and the tasty combination with the varied delicious textures when you finally consume it. yum.
